Every year Thame Historical Society organises a series of monthly talks, on a wide variety of
topics relating to Thame or to local history in general. Key members of the society are currently acting as guardians of a number of artefacts which the society hopes to see one day displayed within a local museum at Thame. The society has always numbered within its ranks several specialists on various aspects of the history of Thame, and in 1999 the society setup a dedicated Research Group, made up of several long standing members plus a number of new members from a previously separate local history research group, which had evolved from an evening class run by Rewley House, Oxford. Thame Historical Society warmly invites anyone wishing to take part in any aspect of its activities to get in touch. New members are always more than welcome. For more information on Thame Historical Society, email Maurice Kirtland at chairman@Thamehistory.net, or for more information on the Research Group, email research@Thamehistory.net. |
