A History of Thame by J Howard Brown and William Guest

Commonly referred to as 'Brown and Guest', this excellent History of Thame was undertaken
with great pride and determination by two of Lord Williams Grammar School's most
respected teachers. Published in 1935 by F.H. Castle and Co. Ltd of Thame, it covers the entire history or Thame to that day. There has been much progress in archaeology and further research done in specific areas since Brown and Guest was published, but there is little in such recent work to detract from the masterly treatment of the town's history afforded to us by these two dedicated school masters. |
