1643 Earl of Essex set up Parliamentary headquarters at Thame.
Summer plague killed 141 people.
John Hampden died at Thame.
1644 Anthony Wood witnessed soldiers fleeing through Thame.
1645 Skirmishes as Royalists attacked soldiers at Thame.
1646 Sir Thomas Glemham's regiment disbanded at Thame.
